Dead Air Fresheners

Dead Air Fresheners

Dead Air Fresheners are a Pacific Northwest collective of semi-anonymous musicians who prefer to work from a chance indeterminist purview. They use a lot of electronics and electro-acoustics but aren't afraid to ring some bells. You shouldn't be either.

Death Masks

Death Masks

Death Masks is the musical moniker of artist Andrew Maxson. Death Masks draws from an array of sonic traditions including drone, pop, avant-garde, industrial, minimalism, and heavy metal in an attempt to create a sonic narrative. The music strives to evoke a driving, contemplative, monolithic feeling.

Death Masks seeks to make music that both reflects a new mythology but still acknowledges its continuity with other narratives. Death Masks seeks to affirm the reciprocal nature of bestial cruelty and maudlin sentimentality, that sheer horror provides an excellent standard to judge all other experiences off of.

Death Masks have more music on their bandcamp page.

Cyberphobe

Cyberphobe

Cyberphobe: a non-musical entity of intermittent output nursing a collection of aging synthesizers, effects units and recording equipment and producing the occasional piece of musical collage. The resultant albums offer a jaundiced view of contemporary society and all who sail in her, fleshed out with voices as diverse as Sylvia Plath, George W Bush, John Cage and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and music from all corners of the planet. We try to be inclusive - no-one escapes our scorn and loathing. If you're not us, you're against us and we hate you.

The Shambolics

The Shambolics

The Shambolics made nasty, dirty punk rock music in 2003 and 2004. They terrorised audiences with a number of live performances before Dead Boy left overseas.

Grant Beran

Grant Beran

An intriguing visual artist and a music lover. His experiments with turntables and junk lead him to the creation of his first album. His taste for recontextualising the music he loves excited me when I listened to his unusual approach to sampled music. He lives in Whangarei, New Zealand with his wife and daughter. A low key maverick.
